Terms of Use

INVEST Marriage app · Wildfire Leadership, LLC · Effective September 14, 2026

In short

  • INVEST Marriage is a companion to a marriage curriculum. It is not therapy, counseling or professional advice, and the Coach is an AI guide, not a person.
  • In a crisis, go to humans: 988, 1-800-799-7233, or 911.
  • You must be 18 or older. One account per person; a couple pairs two.
  • What you write is yours. The curriculum and the app are ours.
  • Subscriptions are bought and cancelled through Apple. Church codes grant access without a purchase.
  • Disputes go to informal resolution first, then individual arbitration; you can opt out of arbitration within 30 days.

1. These terms

These Terms of Use are an agreement between you and Wildfire Leadership, LLC ("we", "us"), the maker of INVEST Marriage. By creating an account or using the app you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. What the app is

INVEST Marriage is a companion to the INVEST Marriage curriculum by Bill and Stephanie Lammers: a Snapshot of how you communicate and how you are most loved, a daily note to your spouse, guided conversations such as Grace Place, the Mission Portrait and the other tools, the eight sessions, and an AI guide called the INVEST Coach. The curriculum is Christ-centered; Scripture and prayer are part of the experience. We may add, change or remove features over time.

3. Not professional services

The app, including the Coach, does not provide therapy, counseling, medical, psychological, legal or financial advice, and using it does not create a professional or fiduciary relationship with anyone. Nothing in the app is a substitute for the judgment of a licensed professional who knows your situation. The Coach is an AI system: not a person, not a therapist, counselor, pastor, doctor or lawyer. It can be wrong, incomplete or out of date, and you are responsible for the decisions you make. For decisions that matter, involve real people you trust.

4. In a crisis, go to humans

The app is not a crisis or emergency service and you must not rely on it in one. If you or someone in your home is in danger or thinking about self-harm: call or text 988 (Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, 24/7), call 1-800-799-7233 (National Domestic Violence Hotline, or text START to 88788), or call 911 for immediate danger. The Coach is designed to point you to these resources when it recognizes a crisis, but it can miss one; please do not wait for it to.

5. Who may use the app

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement. The app is for married and engaged couples; each person has their own account, and a couple pairs two accounts. You may not use the app if we have previously suspended your account.

6. Your account

You sign in with a code sent to your email address or with Sign in with Apple. Keep your email account secure; everything done through your account is your responsibility. Give us accurate information and keep it current. Tell us right away at info@wildfireleadership.com if you believe someone else has used your account.

7. Couples and sharing

When you pair with your spouse, each of you agrees that the app will show the other what it says is shared: your daily note to them, your Snapshot result once both of you have taken it, and what you write together in a couple tool. Coach conversations are never shared. Either of you can unpair in Settings; what was shared up to then stays with each of you. The app is a tool for two people who both choose to use it, and each of you is responsible for what you write to the other.

8. Subscriptions, church codes and payment

Some parts of the app require a paid membership. Memberships are sold as auto-renewing subscriptions through Apple's App Store, billed to your Apple ID at the price shown before you buy. A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends; you manage and cancel it in your iPhone's Settings under your Apple ID. If a free trial is offered, it converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled before it ends. We may change prices for future periods; Apple will notify you and ask for your consent where required. Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies; we cannot issue them directly.

A church or group code grants membership without a purchase, for the period the code provides. Codes are for the people they were given to and may not be resold.

9. Your content

What you write in the app is yours, and you keep every right to it. You give us a worldwide, royalty-free license to store it, show it to your spouse where the app says it is shared, and process it to run the features you use (for example, sending a Coach message to the model that answers it, or building the image when you send a note as a text). That license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies in backups for a short time and content your spouse keeps under section 7. You are responsible for what you write. Do not write anything unlawful, or anything that infringes someone else's rights.

10. Our content

The INVEST Marriage curriculum, the sessions, the tools, the Snapshot, the Coach, the app, this website, and the names and marks INVEST Marriage and Wildfire Leadership belong to Wildfire Leadership, LLC or its licensors and are protected by copyright and trademark law. Scripture quotations are used under their publishers' terms. We give you a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app and its content for your own marriage on Apple devices you own or control, under Apple's usage rules. You may not copy, sell, distribute, modify, reverse-engineer or create derivative works from the app or the curriculum, or use them to build a competing product, except where the law expressly allows it.

11. Using the app well

You agree not to: use the app to harm, harass, threaten or deceive anyone, including your spouse; try to make the Coach act as the professional it says it is not, or to produce content that is unlawful or hateful; access anyone else's account or data, or interfere with the service or its security; use automated tools to scrape or copy the app or its content; or use the app in any way that violates the law. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.

12. The Coach

The Coach generates responses with an artificial-intelligence model from your messages, your Snapshot and the curriculum. Its responses are not reviewed by a person before you see them, may be inaccurate, and are not advice (section 3). Every message is checked automatically for signs of danger so the Coach can direct you to help; that check keeps a record of the kind of concern and not the conversation. We may limit how many messages you can send in a period. You may delete your conversations at any time in Settings.

13. Other companies' services

The app runs on services from other companies (listed in the Privacy Policy), and purchases and Sign in with Apple are governed by Apple's terms. We are not responsible for those companies' services, and their terms apply to your use of them.

14. Ending your use

You may stop using the app at any time and delete your account in Settings. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if the law requires it, or if we discontinue the app, in which case we will give reasonable notice where we can. Sections 9 through 19 survive the end of these terms.

15. No guarantees

The app is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or non-infringement. We do not promise that the app will be error-free or uninterrupted, that content (including the Coach's) will be accurate, or that using the app will produce any particular result in your marriage. Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions; in that case they apply to the extent permitted.

16. Limits on our liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Wildfire Leadership, LLC and its members, employees and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill, arising from or related to the app or these terms, even if we were told they were possible. Our total liability for all claims relating to the app will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose and fifty US dollars. These limits do not apply to liability that cannot be limited by law.

17. Your responsibility for misuse

You will defend and hold us harmless from claims, losses and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your content, your breach of these terms, or your violation of the law or someone else's rights.

18. Resolving disputes

Talk to us first. If you have a dispute with us, email info@wildfireleadership.com with your name, the email on your account and a description of the problem, and give us 30 days to try to resolve it with you. Most problems can be sorted out this way.

Arbitration. If we cannot resolve it, you and we agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to the app or these terms will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, rather than in court, except that either of us may bring an individual claim in small-claims court, and either of us may seek an injunction in court to protect intellectual property. The Federal Arbitration Act governs this agreement to arbitrate. The arbitrator decides everything, including whether a claim can be arbitrated, and may award the same relief a court could, to you individually. Arbitration fees are set by the AAA's consumer rules; we will pay the filing fee for claims under $10,000 unless the arbitrator finds the claim frivolous.

No class actions. You and we each agree to bring claims only in an individual capacity, not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, collective or representative proceeding, and the arbitrator may not consolidate claims of more than one person. If this paragraph is found unenforceable for a particular claim, that claim proceeds in court, and the rest of this section still applies.

You can opt out. You may reject this arbitration agreement by emailing us within 30 days of first accepting these terms, with your name and the email on your account, saying that you opt out of arbitration. Opting out does not affect any other part of these terms.

Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state in which Wildfire Leadership, LLC is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. For any claim that is not arbitrated, the state and federal courts of that state have exclusive jurisdiction, and you consent to it.

19. Apple

These terms are between you and Wildfire Leadership, LLC, not Apple, and Apple is not responsible for the app or its content. Your license to use the app is limited to Apple devices you own or control, under the usage rules in Apple's Media Services Terms. We, not Apple, are responsible for the app, for maintenance and support, for any product warranty, and for addressing any claims relating to the app, including product-liability claims, claims that the app fails to conform to a legal or regulatory requirement, and consumer-protection or similar claims. If the app fails to conform to any warranty we give, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation. If a third party claims the app infringes its intellectual property, we, not Apple, are responsible for the claim. You represent that you are not in a country under a US government embargo or designated a "terrorist supporting" country, and are not on any US government list of prohibited or restricted parties. You must comply with any third-party terms that apply when using the app. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

20. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is material, the app will ask you to accept it again before you continue, and this page will show the new date. Otherwise, continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it.

21. The rest

These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the app. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. Our not enforcing a term is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer these terms; we may transfer them to a successor of the business. Notices to you may be given in the app or by email to your account address.
